| Dr. Reddy's publishes a Corporate Sustainability Report annually. Our seventh report covers our environment, economic and social performance between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. The reporting framework is in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)-G3 2006 guidelines and the applicable GRI Indicator Protocols have been followed for reporting on the core and additional indicators. |

| Report Boundary |
| The content of this report is based on a materiality analysis focusing on two key factors - the effect on stakeholders and the impact on the business. The analysis identified six key areas on which we are focusing our sustainability efforts. The report seeks to provide a comprehensive explanation for each bottom line. |

The economic bottom line accounts for the financial impact of the organisation on its customers and suppliers. The data for economic performance has been disclosed as per our financial report of FY 2009-10. |

The environment bottom line details the considered water usage, energy consumption, hazardous material management and effluent discharge. Its scope covers our six units of Chemical Technical Operations that manufacture Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, six manufacturing units of Finished Dosages, a unit of Biologics and two research laboratories, all based in India. |

The social bottom line deals with employment, talent management, employee growth and development and promotion of initiatives at the group/ organisational level to address key
social issues. |
