L.V. Ramana, a village dweller aged 35 was diagnosed with Lymphoplasmacytosis with reduced Meqakaryocytes and was advised to seek treatment at NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. |

Unable to meet the medical expenditure, Ramana had mortgaged his house and raised INR 0.3 million. However, even that proved insufficient to cover treatment costs, and Ramana was losing hope. |

INTERVENTION |

At that point, the Sparsh team met him during one of its routine medical camps. The team realised that Ramana genuinely needed financial aid of INR 1.5 million for his operation. |
|
The case was discussed with the Management to explore all possible ways of raising financial help. To initiate the support, CTO-VI gave financial aid of INR 25,000 for one-month blood transfusion and subsequently arranged for a blood donor pass for free blood transfusion every month. |
|
Ramana's case was presented to the local business community and an appeal was made to support his treatment. Thereby, an amount of INR 1 million was raised from the local business community for Ramana's operation. |
