Educational Initiatives |
We believe that education is the foundation of a nation. An educated society has the potential to change the nation's destiny. Education also creates higher awareness about health and sanitation, which empowers people to lead better and healthier lifestyles. Hence, we support and conduct educational programmes at various locations around us. We dovetail our efforts with ongoing governmental and NGO-led initiatives and ensure that the resulting synergy has a greater impact. |
Power of Ten™ |
Every month, our employees contribute INR 10 or multiples of 10, to Naandi Foundation, a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), which provides health and education facilities through programmes such as |
'The School Child Health' programme that offers healthcare to 52,000 children in 285 schools in India, |
'Ensuring Children Learn' programme, which reaches out to over 16,000 children in 378 schools, |
'Safe Motherhood and Child Healthcare' programme, through which over 2,000 pregnant women have been provided timely medical assistance with hygienic procedures. This has drastically reduced the infant mortality rate. |
To encourage this culture of giving which has been espoused by our employees, Dr. Reddy's too makes a contribution to the Power of 10™ that matches employee contribution. |

Operational Support |
At Dr. Reddy's, it is our continuing quest to identify the infrastructural gaps which undermine the success of charitable initiatives and plug them. For instance, we discovered that the student dropout rate was on the rise in some schools in Andhra Pradesh. This was due to the haphazard midday meal service on account of lack of utensils.
We took the initiative to encourage children to attend school by supplying stainless steel plates, glasses and other utensils and thereby effectively operationalising the Government's midday
meal scheme. |
